The late game play calling explains a lot of the difference in the W-L record between the two teams this season.

Did you watch the TD drive to take the lead in the Bears game? Going run, run, halfhearted screen off an opponent TO with a chance to run the clock out is cowardice. And he keeps doing it. That kinda stuff won’t fly in the playoffs. Get ready for more heartbreak.

It seems less likely at the moment, but I’m still pulling for a postseason berth this year. Even if it’s a one and done, it would still be a huge success, considering the bad luck the team has endured.

Pro sports is a results oriented business. Win enough to make the postseason, then see what happens.

I hope you’re right about Hall, but I feel like they are going to go with Mullens, or stick with Dobbs. Flaws aside, Dobbs still has starting experience, as does Mullens.

I feel bad for the defense. Any team should win if they give up only 12 points. They shouldn’t have even needed to get back on the field when it was 10-9, Vikings ball.

And are they sure they couldn’t have used Jefferson at 90% in this game? Are they just assuming they’re going to walk into wins? They’re not good enough to do that.

This was on my mind during the game. What is the point of timeouts if they aren’t actually used in a meaningful way? Instead of attacking downfield on first and second downs on that final drive, timeouts had to be wasted on converting short yardage on 3rd and 4th downs. That effectively ended the game.

KOC keeps saying he’s going to learn and give his offensive players good opportunities late in games to win the game. Why does he keep failing?

A move to keep the locker room invested in the season with a chance to sneak into the postseason, but probably ending on either side of the 8/9-9/8 teeter totter. A low cost move with a chance to salvage some good from the season. I’m glad I was wrong.

KOC made it clear how he feels about Kirk, so I’d be surprised if Minny didn’t sign him to at least two more years. The Vikings should keep Hall on roster as a rookie, considering the great play he showed, albeit in limited action.

As crazy as it sounds, Dobbs seems like the odd man out right now when looking to the offseason. But I don’t care about that right now. Let Dobbs ball out now, and we can worry about the rest later.
