This is the narrative out there today on all media outlets. You’d think the Ravens would have lead all statistical categories of value. Let’s take a look then:
Baltimore on Sunday was outgained on the ground & through the air, had only 12 true first downs (5 were to penalties), were 2-8 on third down, lost the possession battle by nearly 10 minutes, and Lamar Jackson was 13-23 with 2 interceptions. The Browns thoroughly outplayed Baltimore in virtually every metric.
I think everyone watched the first quarter, turned it off, then figured the Ravens must have “handed” us the game.
If we didn’t spot them 7 in the first 15 seconds, the game would have been close the whole way and the narrative would potentially be different.
Two things I’ve learned today.
-
Ravens are the worst team in the 4thQ in the NFL.
-
Lamar Jackson has the same amount of touchdowns as Mac Jones. 😬 yikes
-
I mean the narrative does make sense…
The Browns only led this game once the clock hit 0:00…
To lead for 59 minutes and 20 seconds AND lose the game is a hard pill to swallow…
Our narrative is our rally, but I understand everyone else’s narrative that the Ravens blew it
These media outlets are all terrified still of discussing Watson
The focus will be on the other team and I couldn’t care less
Well, as I learned last week, the Ravens are a young team (founded in 1996), literally having been magically hatched from an Old Bay seasoned egg and having no relationship whatsoever with anything that came before.
They’re young. They’ll bounce back.
I mean, they did absolutely blow it. But Cleveland absolutely outplayed them most of the game too. It doesn’t have to be one or the other.
