Does anyone have any stats or data on why the run game dramatically improved and Devin Singletary had 150 yards Rushing.

Has Singletary earned more reps?

Was the matchup why the Texans were more efficient or is there another reason?

So, I think it’s a combination of a lot of factors. I think our O Line having stability is a good thing, the Bengals defense is also bad against the run, and our passing attack opened up the rush. It’s what everyone has been saying all year long, let CJ Stroud establish himself as a threat to always respect downfield and it’ll open up the run game, and they did that exactly. Since the Bucs game, we haven’t had as many runs on 1st as we used to and I fully expect that trend to continue.

For 1, the people we needed to block hit the blocks. Even our favorite guy Schultz was doing a damn good job.

On another note, after watching replays, I think it may have been schemed better to give Singletary a chance to view his options before having to hit a hole. There were actually well blocked runs and then there were also plays where people were in the backfield but Singletary was able to bounce it to the outside or cut it the other way.

Our run blocking wasn’t that much better so I think the extra factor is Either scheme and/or Singletary was really seeing the holes. Bengals D isn’t good at run D but neither were the Panthers.
