NGL I do not see Slowik as HC material right now. He’s had his good games, but he’s also been questionable at times. Out of Demeco, Stroud, and Slowik, Slowik is the most green at their job. They’ve all committed rookie mistakes, but Slowik has been the most noticeable out of the three.

Which is not a bad thing btw, I actually have liked Slowik a lot. He will eventually get there in terms of being a HC candidate and I want to see him succeed.

Cashman has been the most consistent imo.

I think Noah Brown is CJ’s guy when he scrambles. I don’t know what it is, but he knows where to find the empty spaces and CJ always attacks the vacated parts of the field.

Nuk with Stroud would go crazy. Our D Line would never have been this much of an issue if we kept DJ Reader, and JJ Watt would feast even more because of how much pressure they create, so probably one of those 3.

I’m glad that they are being called out but we should focus on the upcoming games. We don’t get any favors by the refs, but we are still a highly penalized team and that needs to seriously be addressed by our coaching staff. I know we are a young team, but the amount of flags that are called against us is way too high and they finally cost us a game.

He was so delusional because he said the Jags only lost because they were “hungover” vs the Chiefs because they over prepared for that game and not for ours. Which honestly, it’s such a terrible argument because you don’t accidentally lose by 20 points.

I’m very thankful that the Texans are producing good football again. These past few years have been awful but we are so back up again.

I agree that this team needs a bonafide WR1, but we should look for FA rather than drafting one that we have zero chances to move up for. Unless we were truly a receiver away from being a true contender, then maybe it’s okay to mortgage the future for a good shot. But unfortunately this team has too many holes, and drafting smart in the draft is one way to make sure we have solid rotational players too.

The people who were calling for Slowik’s heads at the beginning of the year were always stupid. Without a doubt, he’s had some questionable games and he definitely is the biggest reason we lost to the Panthers and possibly even the Falcons.

However, he calls up great plays most of the time and he constantly spaces out the receivers which gives Stroud plenty of options. I’ve seen some film breakdowns, and especially for the Bengals game, Stroud constantly has multiple choices to find an open man.

My issue with him is that he gets way too cute sometimes, and some of our worst plays this season have also resulted from his play calling. Every game, at least once or twice like clockwork, he will scheme up a boneheaded play that ends up costing us points or a drive.

I think he’s doing a good job, and he will definitely be a target later on for a HC position. If he keeps improving and if we retain for a few more years, this offense with better weapons can legitimately be historic.

It’s just a scheme thing, Meco has been cooking with our D Line ngl so the lack of blitzing to me isn’t as much of an issue because he brings on the pressure when it matters the most.
