the negativity in this sub is really anoying. so much pessimism and hate for your own team. we need some “Mia san Mia”. If we win against the bills and dolphins and the dolphins lose in week 11, we lead the division. and all this is not unrealistic. bills are worse than us and the dolphins are overrated. so the path to the playoffs is there and its not the hardest!!! we are the only team that beat the eagles!!! If you look at the comments in this sub, our record should be 2-7 (FTP) and no hope. but thats not the case. So lets bring in some optimism
You know what? In 2009, after firing “Man-genius” and hiring Rex Ryan - we made the playoffs after going 4-6 - finished 9-7 for a wild card. On any given Sunday, Monday, Thursday, Friday or Saturday (think that’s all the days that NFL games could be played)… any team could conceivably beat another team.
Im with you. My playoff hopes die when December ends and we’re nowhere close to making it. My hope for Zach ends when he plays a game where he doesn’t show capability in any of the 4 quarters of a game. My hope for Saleh ends when 0 facets of our team show any level of growth or success. My hope for JD ends when he doesn’t sign more than 2 linemen in our first 3 rounds of our next draft. Bc none of those have happened yet, Im ready to die fighting for all the guys in the hot chair for the Jets (except everyone that came with A Rod). No matter how many downvotes we get for simply having hope, I’ll stand by anyone who can see this exact team and coaching staff (besides Zach and everyone who came bc of A Rod) are capable of getting us a chip
We’d have to get rid of Hackett and possibly cut Zach. The broncos offense only started to look normal when Hackett was gone. And Zach just isn’t it. Maybe with an actually good offensive coach he’d be better but we need to cut out losses
The jets are a 2-7 team masquerading as a 4-5 team.
