Hi y’all, I am not sure if I’m just overwhelmed with the amount of makeup I have or if I’m just not comfortable doing it at my vanity anymore? Do you guys do yours in the bathroom? Carry a bag through out the house? Do you have a lot of makeup in one spot? Do you bring your stuff to work and do it when you get there?

I guess I’m asking what works best for you?

I keep my makeup in a caboodle to store under the sink (I hate cluttered counters) and will sometimes do it in the bathroom. Often times I do it in bed before work since it’s so early and I don’t want to stand for so long lol. If it’s mid day I may take it to the living room couch so I can watch tv and talk to my husband.

I use my bathroom. I have a cosmetic bag I take with all my essentials. I have a larger box for all other makeup extras that I refresh my cosmetic bag with.

I do mine sitting down at my desk every morning, but I also use a small light-up mirror because of how dark it is in the morning + my house has very little natural light. I had surgery a few months ago which is mostly why I do it at a desk now, but before I used to do it standing up in front of my bathroom mirror and that worked well too

I prefer to have all my makeup done before I leave the house, i just feel not-ready for the day/rushed if I have to do my makeup in my car or elsewhere, plus I lose things easily so carrying my stuff around in a bag is probably not the smartest idea (for me personally, though)

I do my makeup in the bathroom, but I have a little makeup bag in my purse for the parts I need to touch up.

I do it in the bathroom where I keep most of my collection.

Something that has helped me a lot is to store my palettes vertically like books. I also have lipstick organisers for my lipsticks and have them arranged in a gradient.

My collection is big but not enormous. If I had a vanity with drawers, I would be very comfortable, but I don’t have the space for it. What I plan to do is to find an organiser with drawers, store there smaller products and have the palettes in a box stored vertically. I just haven’t found the perfect one yet.

The bathroom. I keep my makeup in there. I used to do it on my bed because my room had better lighting but my new house the lighting is great in the bathroom.

At my vanity with chair. Prior to getting my own vanity, I did it in the bathroom but always hated doing so, since my skincare and makeup routine follows my hot showers.

I’m reading and picturing some of these answers and flabbergasted! 😂

    On your bed??

Yeah! I could never do it on my bed. A. My back hurts just think about it. B. If I dropped anything on my bed I’d freak out!

I have a dedicated space in an unused dining room. A 10 seat dining room table pushed up against the wall, chairs in storage. A comfy wheeled office chair. Various makeup storage items, an adjustable light with 3 light tones, large makeup mirror with one magnified side, a file cabinet drawer for pallets and a desk pad. A brush hanger for storing or drying brushes. It’s a lot. Only 2 years ago I wore NO makeup. I had been depressed for years since my husband died. Several things changed in my life and my depression lifted. I started to care about my appearance. I got obsessed with makeup. I finally got my groove back, so that’s alright with me. 💄💋

Used to do it in my bathroom but considering I do my makeup every single day for school and will be doing for several more years even when I work, I spent some money and got a really nice lit up vanity with so much makeup storage. :)

Already notice that my makeup looks much smoother and better now that I do it at a well-lit place.

I have a little vanity spot in my bathroom where I do my makeup but I don’t keep my makeup in there. I have a container I use to “shop my stash” every day so I use a variety of things.

In the bathroom - makeup bag stored in bathroom closet. If for some reason hubby needs the bathroom at the same time then I do it on my bedroom floor 😂

I have a tiny table and I just do it on the floor in my room now even though I have a whole makeup desk 💀 I just put everything I need in a makeup bag and store it under my bed.

I have a desk with a big flat drawer that I have all my makeup in, mirror and a ring light kinda thing. It’s facing a window so the natural lighting is best for makeup but I end up doing it at 5am in the dark most days 🙄 I have to sit and be able to rest my arms on something, doing my makeup in the bathroom is torture lol. The drawer is the best I don’t have to dig through a bag it’s all laid out.
