I’m starting to outgrow it. I used to be really into heavier eyeliner with longer wings and a more dramatic inner corner, but as I’ve gotten older I found I’ve preferred to just accentuate my natural features with darker makeup rather than trying to “change” the appearance of my face
I used to not wear sunscreen because I have oily/combo skin and it only seemed to make it worse. I’m not too sure what exactly to recommend because I don’t use retinol or vitamin C, but honestly what helped was using a niacinamide serum to help oil control. It’s worked wonders and I can’t afford it all the time, but I definitely notice that when I stop using it my skin gets oilier. If you’re interested, I’d recommend the Inkey List niacinamide serum. I learned that brands like The Ordinary will switch up their recipes depending on the price of ingredients, but Inkey List does not. It’s a bit more expensive (google says $10 but ~$10-$17) but so worth it.
I use the Vanicream cleanser, Inkey List niacinamide, CeraVe moisturizer, and I’ve been using the Innisfree sunscreen for years and never abandoned it — I absolutely love it. It doesn’t have any piling like I noticed the other sun screens do and it’s hydrating without making me too oily (but again the serum is really crucial)
Also I’d recommend an oil-control powder at the end of your makeup routine. I use the Elf Ultra HD powder and it’s probably my favorite makeup product in the world, it works so well
I do mine sitting down at my desk every morning, but I also use a small light-up mirror because of how dark it is in the morning + my house has very little natural light. I had surgery a few months ago which is mostly why I do it at a desk now, but before I used to do it standing up in front of my bathroom mirror and that worked well too
I prefer to have all my makeup done before I leave the house, i just feel not-ready for the day/rushed if I have to do my makeup in my car or elsewhere, plus I lose things easily so carrying my stuff around in a bag is probably not the smartest idea (for me personally, though)
I think we’re gonna see more 60s bold eye looks like the ones from the Priscilla movie. People always say fashion and trends recycle themselves
