OP, you aren’t going to get a better deal than this! Cyber Monday Deal:
Any specific brush?
I have soooo many but in all honesty, I use… four? lol And most everything “heavy duty,” I do with my Beauty Blender or Artis brush. I look at the remaining 9,000 brushes wondering why I even own them! 😔
But that tapered concealer brush….
I’ll second Colourpop brushes. Pretty good and pricing doesn’t get much better.
I like Sigma brushes too, though they are a little pricier. I have also been contemplating those BK brushes after seeing so many ads — at bkbeauty.com. I haven’t bought any yet but their concealer brush is calling my name.
Most people look like they’re not wearing much makeup if they don’t wear eyeliner. Eyeliner and eyeshadow make all the difference!
I wash my BeautyBlender everytime before I use it. Soak completely, soap it all up, rub on palm of hand, squeeze out all liquid from it (which will include all the color products you used the previous session), then begin soaking and squeezing water out of it to rinse.
Squeeze out completely into a hand towel and apply makeup.
They want this. Remove all pores and keep every highlight and shine.
Hard to believe you can’t actually afford it. Sure, high end makeup is ridiculously expensive. But drugstore makeup is often fantastic and with 40% off coupons through apps like CVS, real bargains can be had. It’s not like you need to buy most items all that often if you take care of things.
Also, many items can have dual or even triple purposes if you learn how to use things. Like one good brown eyeshadow can easily do shadow, brows and even contour. To save money, though, you’ll want to make sure you do research before buying that one good product.
What makeup stays on you depends on the makeup brand/formula and your skin type.
My makeup will normally stay put completely but I also don’t like it to be heavy (typical of full coverage etc.) so it usually takes me a lot of trial and error before I find my go-to products.
There are some good staples for every product though, IMO, that generally work for most people. For example, for foundation, Estée Lauder Double Wear works for most. It may not be everyone’s favorite but staying in place won’t be the issue. For every product from primer to powder, there are staples like this.
So what melted away? Foundation? Eyeliner? Contour?
I either do only the full skincare routine or+ sunscreen, or I do all makeup except contouring and mascara/lips.
Otherwise it’s full-on makeup for me. Not doing my whole routine saves me maybe 5-10 minutes unless it’s full glam, which is rare.
I’d forgo my entire makeup routine to keep my eyeliner. Like bareface, minimal eyebrows, zero contouring and no lips so long as I keep my eyeliner.
Blush.
I do my contouring but I just don’t like wearing blush.
I hear ya on the lip gloss stuff. I’m particular about which brand of lipstick and always stick to nudes, but lip gloss is rough for me. I still wear it occasionally but am conscious of this thick, sticky glob being on my lips. It’s not something I reapply when I’m out.
At my vanity with chair. Prior to getting my own vanity, I did it in the bathroom but always hated doing so, since my skincare and makeup routine follows my hot showers.
I’m reading and picturing some of these answers and flabbergasted! 😂
On your bed??
If those are the only colors you need/want, then buy them individually. A palette is not for you.
