Is it possible that one of the reasons why the offense has been so poor is that in order to cut down on mistakes that Zach makes, the offense scheme has been simplified? That makes it easier to defend against our offense.
Is it possible to see an all 22 and have some comparison of simplified reads vs more complex reads on passing downs? I’d be curious to see comparable offensive down and distance plays from Hackett when he was in Green Bay and this year.
The Jets offense is traditionally bad. This is just compounded by o-line injuries, a really bad OC, a QB bust, and really, really limited players at skill positions.
Make no mistake about it, this will go down in Jets history as the worst offense this franchise has ever produced.
Zach Wilson is about to become the only player in NFL history to be at the bottom in passer rating for 3 consecutive years. Because only the Jets would continue to trot the worst passer in the NFL out there three years in a row.
