It might not have that same air vent smell with how different it is and i haven’t seen reviewer talking about that.

So keep your expectation in check even if i know it might be a deal breaker for some of you.

    Yes Oled really is overrated, also brighter hdr display could make you blind in the long run…better stick with the crappy washed out LCD display of the old Deck. You also don’t want more battery life or you could end up playing games for too long forgetting your important tasks

    What the joke with this vent smell ? I only see these jokes on Reddit and technically my SD didn’t smell anything at all while running and I got it brand new yes

    There’s definitely a timeline where this stuff is like asbestos and like with other asbestos companies we’d end up suing Valve to death because of our cancers. I’ll genuinely laugh out loud with my fellow cancer bros if that this timeline.

    My expectation is to read similar level of nervous breakdown once valve silently release an upgraded version with VRR and suddenly everybody will realize their beloved deck is a useless junk again.

    Even the Valve Index had the same smell. It will come with every Valve device.

    So glad im not the only one with a weird compulsion to sniff the vent everytime i take it out the case. Thought i was weird for a bit there.
