Obviously not no one, but so far most of the discussion I’ve seen from last night is either about Porzingis (rightfully so), Jaylen’s inconsistent game or the struggles of the bench (the last two I think will right themselves). But no one is talking about just how good Tatum looked.
To me he look markedly better than any version I’ve seen of him before. We’ve all seen him make tough shots and explode offensively, but last night he just looked absolutely in control. There were a couple of drives and finishes where I just sat back in incredulity at the fact that this dude has leveled up once again.
Can’t wait to see what this team is capable of once they build up some chemistry and settle into their roles.
The sports media isn’t. Real people and fans are. My buddy is a Knicks fan (lol) and he was texting me last night about Tatum. He was genuinely floored by Tatum’s abilities
He looks like a basketball god. Just fluid graceful motion in every direction. Plus I saw him get called for a foul and he DIDNT throw his hands up.
He had a bunch of deflections too which do not show on the box score.
I wish he would cut down on the 4Q turnover habit though.
I’m pretty sure they avoided going to Quickley after Jayson was put on him lol. We’ll gladly let Brunson and Randle throw up bricks
I liked when Scal said that Tatum was just going wherever he wanted and the defense had absolutely nothing to do with it. That summed it up for me
He had some sloppy turnovers that appeared to be just some new team problems for the most part but otherwise he does look better as an overall player. I just think we’re not surprised to see the improvement
He looked so much more decisive. Got to his spot in the midrange and pulled it, no weak rim finish for contact or awkward motions. His handle and shot have looked super clean as well. I also love that he’s posting up, one of JT’s issues has always been not abusing his size and I see none if that this year- he’s always making the right choice.
My guy is on a mission, even if he probably won’t win it I think he’s taken the MVP candidate leap.
Inconsistent game in a season that is 1-0. Dry up
I’ve bet you’ve never enjoyed a game of basketball in your life.
And I bet you have never been laid! Don’t know why we have Jaylen brown haters calling themselves fans it’s a travesty
Best part about tatum is he is staying forever
Check out Tatum’s reaction to the Zinger three to break the 101 tie, sums it up perfectly for me
