My biggest concern at the moment is Kwon and Holcomb being done back to back weeks. We’ve seen this defense time and time again being undone in big moments by poor ilb play in previous years and my enthusiasm and positivity has taken a big hit with them both out.

That being said right now we are without Minkah and still winning games somehow so that is a good sign because seeing the secondary play without him is really rough at times.

First team in NFL history to be outgained in all 9 games and have a winning record. They were also the first at 8 games. What the Steelers are doing is unprecedented, which is both impressive and concerning

Running the ball, not turning the ball over, and forcing turnovers on defense can absolutely be sustainable.

Sure 2 of those 3 require some luck but you can make your own luck good or bad with your decisions and your play.

The data shows this kind of performance is not likely to result in wins. That’s why it’s not sustainable.

It’s like flipping a coin and getting heads 6/9 times, then saying “is this strategy to keep getting heads sustainable?”

Most games are close 5 this weekend on last second FGs. I don’t think anyone is expecting blow outs. In fact I have never read anywhere on here people complaining because it wasn’t a blow out.

We beat the Raiders before they fired their coach they have improved since.

The Titans who are bad and had a rookie in his first start.

The Packers who are bad especially against the run.

The Ravens was a great win but you can’t count on them to drop passes (sustainable?)

Browns was a great win but it took a defensive TD late (sustainable?)

Rams aren’t good and the refs made a bad call in our favor late that may have hurt us. Who is to say the next one goes against us? The Jags FG penalty hurt us.

The losses have all been to teams that are looking like playoff teams. Yes Houston looks that way and they now have a win against us in their pocket. That may loom large later this season.

What does this look like against Mahomes in KC in January? Or trying to keep up with Tua and Hill on the road in the playoffs. Or even right here in our own division against Burrow who has more than proven he is a killer in January.

Unless Kenny has a complete epiphany we are not sustainable

Keeping games close and win them late is a viable strategy…it isn’t your first choice but it has worked 60% of the time for us so far.

Don’t forget that Trent Dilfer and Joe Flacco both won Super Bowls, and not because they were elite QBs, but they had crazy Defenses, and they managed games!! Is it the sexy way to get it done? No, but who gives a shiiiiii. Stop hating and start supporting!!
