    Why would he want to deal with NIL, the transfer portal, boosters, and so forth. I thought Jimbo Fisher was definitely overpaid when he was hired, but I didn’t think he would fail at Texas A&M that spectacularly. But the SEC is tough and Texas A&M wasn’t a known powerhouse by any means anyway.

    No amount of money could coax Campbell away from the Lions.

    Let’s focus on flattering it is that our head coach is actually being named for other positions, when is the last time that happened?!

    To be fair for this article, it’s asking if Texas A&M will make a run at him. They’d be stupid not to at least ask him if he’s interested. Of course there’s not a chance in hell I think he would take the job but it’s his alma mater so I would expect him to answer the phone and wait at least 5-10 seconds before telling them no.

    NFL coaches that are currently having success do not go to college in all but the most extreme of circumstances. Texas A&M is not one of the top 3-5 most prestigious jobs in college (or even close for that matter) so really there’s not a chance in hell because even if he likes the idea it’s not like college jobs aren’t going to open up all the time.

    If Campbell wins a SB with the Lions he will not only be a sports god in Michigan he will be an instant NFL legend. He could retire immediately and make millions as a motivational speaker if he wanted.

    Dan Campbell is detroit. He sold us/the city and players on what we have been buying in since the rebuild. We are only here to bite kneecaps in between chuggin espresso while climbing to a ring.
