With news about Chicago potentially blowing things up, I want to remind everyone that we own their second round pick this season as a result of the Grant Williams sign and trade.

Let’s hope they tear things down to the floor and finish with as many losses as possible. We might be in line to collect a pick in the 34-36 range

If we gave Chicago back their second-round pick, basically guaranteeing them the 31st overall pick if that is where they decide to go, our 2024 first-round pick, Pritchard, filler, and another second-round pick (maybe two), would we really be out-bid for Caruso?

Caruso’s offense is not great, but come playoffs we’d basically have 48 minutes of elite defense against any team’s top guard on the floor, as well as managing JT and JB’s time such that we have one of the two on the other team’s best wing on the floor for 48 minutes. It then would come down to whether KP/Horford can slow down the best big enough for us to get by (Jokic obviously being the biggest question mark). It’s an extremely exciting opportunity.

We have a few good 2nds coming, there’s a potential pistons/wizards pick in 25 and potential blazers pick in 26.
