Engine make stick spin. Put thing on stick thing move.
Well unless that bucket had water in it before you drained oil into it… that water was in your engine oil, which is bad.
Mk7 to Mk7.5 Golf. Especially the GTI and R, the taillights are really nice on the facelift. The LED headlights for both versions look equally good however.
Stay in the middle or right lane when cruising. Pass on the left, then retreat back after you’re done passing. If someone is hogging the left lane matching the speed of the right lane, give em hell.
Try finding a Indy shop that specializes in a specific brand. Literally anything to get out of warranty work, that’s all you do in dealerships, and the brand doesn’t want to take the hit for making a mistake so they fuck you instead with terrible hours. Indy shops just get normal work and the occasional pain in the ass, but it’s cars that you can actually make money off of. Not, “CS carpet wet” at 8am…
Doubtful. If you can smell gas from the vents it’s most likely leaking somewhere in the engine bay, which get very hot.
Inner tie rod (I’d get the corresponding outer tie rod too), although it kinda seems like it’s too short for it to be simply snapped? Plus if you hit something and caused this there’s likely more damage not yet obvious to you.
Regardless, it’s not too difficult of a job for an experienced tech, but you need a good inner tie rod remover tool and you need to have the car aligned afterwards. Assuming that’s the only thing broken or bent. It’s probably in your best interest to have a indy shop do it.
Yeah, FWD cars with a torsion beam solid axle in the back tend to camber pretty hard, especially when it’s loaded in the back
The drum brakes might need service. Obviously we can’t tell because there’s a drum in the way. The rust is normal also. Shit gets hot.
👍 cool story bro
Year make model. And what’s the hourly rate of the shop.
Because fixed calipers are suhweet
Any ground. Negative terminal on the battery is a good choice but any ground in the engine bay works. Good luck.
Rubber bits. Which there’s a lot of. Also fluids.
Yes. The metal to metal cuts grooves into the rotor. The new pads will not like that.
“Oh wow! Anyways-“
Would’ve been a huge fuckup if not for my friend. I forgot to wipe the oil off of my clutch kit for my golf. My friend noticed dirt sticking to it, so he blasted the pressure plate and flywheel with brake clean and wiped it down, but if he had forgotten it would’ve immediately started slipping and overheat.
Personally I believe the blind spot monitors show their true potential during heavy traffic, when trying to merge into a highway and then cross a lane or two quickly. It can be very stressful to look behind you constantly to check your blind spot. And in the worst case scenario, you can end up so preoccupied checking your blind spot that you end up rear ending someone that suddenly stopped or budged in front of you (because keeping your distance from the car ahead of you means they can barge in). With the monitors, a quick glance at the glowing indication on the mirror is all you need. If it’s on, you can’t switch lanes and you can continue paying attention in front of you. If it’s off, confirm with your own eyes and switch lanes. Easy. Probably one of the most useful assistance tools on my car, along with the rear cross traffic alert to warn me when a car is ignoring my very bright reverse lights and try’s to squeeze through despite me… backing out.
