Jerami Grant is a very good basketball player. I’m happy he plays basketball for the Portland Trailblazers.

Bunch of good to star NBA players had underwhelming rookie seasons. Add being a 19 year old and you relax a little bit.

I like John Wall as an aspiration for Scoot. Wall was a year older coming to the league so thats where my hopes are now.

Jabari and Toumani have been just taking the damn ball like the big kids at the playground.

Jerami so dependable. Our best player currently. Everyone with high usage getting dinged and he’s doing work on both ends every game.

Ill say this. Id rather be 30th on Offense and 10th on Defense than the reverse at this early stage.

Get Shaedon n’ them with the right habits.

Individually their offense will naturally improve and perhaps with a new coach down the line the schemes too.

Outside of last game and the last quarter in Sacramento I’ve been having fun. But it really stinks Scoot isn’t out there developing but Shaedon is getting the run of a lifetime so hopefully it helps.

Better defense than Brook Lopez and Giannis team. How about that.

Shaedon and Mays are cracking the code on how to pass to Ayton. Bounce pass up into his body for the easy catch.

Its the only way anyone should be allowed to pass to him in the flow of offense. Slow high arching passes otherwise. No straight line or leading passes until/if he improves.

I could see Scoot having loyalty to the city like Dame - who knows about the rest of the rooster.

Ive really liked it.

He’s passionate which is overall a plus with some of our best guys Ant and Shaedon being cool types. Him and Scoot are hearts on their sleeve guys so Im hoping they really click on and off the court.

Saw him last game work hard to carve out space in the post and not get the ball in some cases, might get to a passionate person.

Might not be popular to say but Shaedon has had a number of possessions last few games not hustling back on D especially after drives. It even got called out by Lamar tonight.

Hopefully its mostly fatigue.

Noticed a couple of possessions where he wasn’t sprinting back on a missed drive or a turnover. His motor is improved from last year but there is another step possible there.

but a lot of guys in the game thread had their expectations adjusted.

Casuals - This has been the talk on the sub for the last month and both NBA media (ESPN last in power ranking) and Blazers media have been warning about this for a while.

I’m afraid that casuals bitter about Dame will take it out on Scoot (already heckled at the fan fest) and especially Ayton. Both need to feel welcome and supported to flourish.

We have one of those in Shaedon Sharpe I fear. Supreme athlete but he carries himself is like that’s all he will need to be.
