I say give him a smidge more range like even 5 meters, tune the falloff curve so at max range you are doing 20 to the body, 40 to the head, reduce the cooldown on roll, and make nade an aoe like dynamite, but doesn’t do damage over time/ only sticks to a target on actual contact. Nade can still be used in a brawl but requires more skill + gives him some cc while outranged. More roll uptime means more reloads and survivability with his movement and damage reduction + encourages more strategic use for damage reduction. And the slight buff to range, if nothing else, keeps me from raging at my screen when I shoot a support 4 times and do nothing.
I’m a cringe soldier main, I am a hitscan dps, and for my avalable roster, other heroes are either outright not great atm, or require a lot of specialised training to bring up to my rank. I’m working on ashe and sojourn on the side, but it’s hard to tell how good I am without playing an extended amount of ranked with them… and ranked can be toxic enough without potentially throwing the game. So for rn practice it is. I might finally be bothered to grind my wins on my alt to play something else.
