  • You can set one of the trackpads to ‘as mouse’, which lets you use the touchscreen without actually touching the screen. You could also do it with one of the analogue sticks as well, but the trackpads are more precise.

If you’re open to using the touchscreen, though, you could just buy a cheap capacitive touch stylus and use it exactly as you would on a real DS.

  • More power, and at the same price as the 64GB model was at launch.

The OLED seems great, and I really want it, but it’s just too much money, especially when my current Deck works just fine. I know I’d feel buyer’s remorse if I go and spend all of that money on it, and ultimately, it’s the same device that I’ve already got.

I would also seriously consider buying a Deck mini if it had all of the features of the OLED but at a pocketable size. It would be nice to be able to keep playing all of the same games in situations where it isn’t really socially acceptable to whip out a massive device from my bag.

For the moment, though, I’m waiting to see what Nintendo are doing. I know I’d feel shitty if I spent hundreds on a slightly revised version of something I already have only for them to announce their next console months later.
