    You literally left the lane from minute 5 till minute 11 and do nothing but jungle at the very far camp site at top lane

    Funny that when pros fall back to jungle after a very bad lane nobody reports them. But hey as long as you justify a broken system.

    Before the recent system I only reported people who truly deserved it. Now I’m just so jaded by how this company employing some of the most talented software engineers in the industry can’t come up with an intelligent system in a decade that I report whomever I want. You create a system primed for abuse, I’m gonna abuse it.


  • Don’t bother, there were thousands of posts like these over the years. Valve doesn’t care and redditors who don’t say swear words but soft-grief every other game are going to tell you you’re in the wrong even if you sent them a replay.

    I had games where I got LP even though we won very easily, and even though I manually turned off all chat in settings. Maybe I got reported for not communicating, despite the fact that we dominated the game. And people here on reddit will tell you that you deserved it.

    It’s never going to change because nobody at Valve is financially motivated to give a shit.




  • Sorry, but looking at winrates and then making a post that says Everyone/Pros suck at tier 5 items is just ignorant. You’re leaving out so many variables.

    If team A has 3 heroes that have many active items and pick 3 ex machinas, and team B only picks 1, and then team B wins, WAOW DAE EX MACHINA SHIT? What if the problem was in the draft, or maybe the players didn’t even get to use it because they died in the fight too soon, or maybe the players just didn’t utilize the item to its potential (which you allude to yourself with the skill ceiling) or maybe it was legitimately the best shitty choice out of the 5 options they got.

    What about the fact that some heroes will always pick some items and not others, or the fact that you can’t have all the items in all games.

    Not to mention data skewing via “we’re already winning, so I can take Apex/Pirate Hat and just have fun instead of tryharding with ex machina.”








  • Don’t know why you’re focusing on the behavior summary time period. The problems with the behaviour score system are fairly straightforward:

    1. Reports are automatically evalued as true if there are enough of them.

    2. It is extremely easy to abuse.

    I used to be really fair and only report true griefers, but over the years of playing dota, I became so cynical to the system that in the last couple of weeks I started to report anybody who annoys me and lo and behold, I keep getting “successful reports” on my behavior summary, while having all chat completely turned off, for reporting people for “toxic chat”.

    I even got penalized once or twice by Overwatch, even though I never griefed in my life (and of course the system doesn’t even tell you what game it was to understand what some reviewer considers griefing).

    The truth is, Valve doesn’t give a shit. You have people who have hundreds of pages of comments on their steam profile from people calling them a griefer. You get them in a game, they grief. They keep playing dota and ruining games, without any punishment whatsoever, for years.

    Don’t get your hopes up that this is ever gonna change. If Valve wanted this thing to change, it would be extremely easy to fix, but they don’t care to do it.
