I got to meet Joe Buck once. It was a at charity event my work donated a bunch to and sent me as a rep to a dinner event they were having. The charity showed a short but very emotional and touching video about what they did and accomplished and the people the helped that year and then we got dinner in a buffet line.

So I noticed this guy next to me in line scooping like a ridiculous amount of meatballs onto his plate and I look up and see it’s Joe Buck. So I figured I should say something since I had never met a famous TV person before but since I didn’t know much about him, I just mentioned what a great film we just watched was and Joe says “You know what a great set a films are? The Police Academy Movies!” So I was like “Yea, they were great.” and Joe starts to look really excited and goes “Which one was your favorite?” Now I could only remember the first one. I know Bobcat Goldthwaite was in one of them, and I think they go to Miami in one. So I say “The first one.” and he goes “Everyone says that, but Police Academy 2 is the best one.” Then he starts ranking them in order of which he likes the best and asks me if I think they’ll ever make any more.

So I say they could, remakes, and reboots are really big now and he’s get all happy and is like “yea, they are are aren’t they” They he asks me if I think they might bring back some the original cast as cameos. At that point I faked a cell phone call and left.
