not saying we will do this, but if we beat the Saints, Bears, and Broncos over the next three weeks, and the Vikings drop one of their games to either the Raiders or Bengals, we can clinch the division without ever playing them

I am historically a Goff skeptic but have been won over by his improved play over the last year. But I think my long term concern with him that he doesn’t really have a second option in the play when the first playcall doesn’t work is still relevant. I don’t mean going from his first read to his second, which he can clearly do. I mean that when a team blows up the play as called with pressure or coverage, that’s it for Goff. When he presses because his plays as called aren’t there, he makes mistakes that kill this team. Other teams have quarterbacks who have second or even third answers because they have the mobility to keep plays alive.
The Lions can win with Goff but in the modern NFL, there is a ceiling to his kind of play, and it depends so much on the offensive line and how well they keep Goff clean. When they experience injuries and slumps like they have recently, the whole thing falls apart.
I really do think we need to brace ourselves for the Lions decided Goff is their Alex Smith and he gives them a very solid floor but they have legitimate concerns about their ceiling. I think these last few games should be a reminder that it is a legitimate conversation with no easy answers.
Have you not been paying attention to the Lions or Michigan over the last decade?
You can’t switch your entire defensive scheme mid-season
definitely know you’re dealing with someone operating in good faith when they think any mention of race is what racism is
Would love to hear how you think we were ever going to overtake the Eagles in conference tiebreakers before this loss. Really lay it out for me.
Six points conceded to a fumble returned for a TD on offense. Would love to hear how you think that was AG’s fault
If by this, you mean they think any defense that doesn’t force a three and out every series is bad, you are correct
He definitely doesn’t hold offenses to only 23pts every week
The fake punt? That led directly to six and was the only time the Packers seriously threatened a touchdown after the first quarter
God forbid anyone deviate from the pile on against the black coordinator whose defense almost saved the team two weeks in a row, only to be let down by the offense
We never had a legitimate shot. The Eagles have almost every tiebreaker over us
Johnson kept going run run pass against a defense that couldn’t stop anything in the air. He bungled it today
No argument. Outplayed completely for four quarters, which makes eight in a row. This team needs a reset on both offense and defense in the worst way. Everyone will blame Aarob Glenn but Ben Johnson looked mortal today too
Pointing out racial inequality is not a racist act. There is a long established pattern of black coaches having fewer opportunities in the NFL than white coaches.
so… the rate at which teams get first downs? but excluding first and second down conversions?
not based on last year’s film
When you have the chance to exactly replicate the championship run of the 2014-2021 Packers except much older and slower, you absolutely have to do it
Forget the lunar lander and the blackjack!
