  • I’m not going to say not to use NTFS since it’s your decision and there is probably a way you can get it to work with a lot of tweaking and researching online, but you will inevitably encounter issues using it. Even if you can fix them now, new ones will emerge in the future as proton and other Linux programs evolve. It’s just easier to use ext4/btrfs


  • 2018ish. I used Linux for a while alongside windows, then eventually exclusively for over a year. Then had to use windows for a bit but with the aim of always returning to Linux. Then last year I switched back and have been using it ever since. I still have a windows partition on my laptop and a drive with windows on my desktop, but I haven’t touched either since switching to Linux except to play a game my gf wanted to play with anticheat.
