From my POV as an LCK-only viewer (but follows Reddit threads on LPL), it just feels like

Knight = Chinese Chovy. Domestic dominance, but has had disappointing Worlds performances.

Yagao = Chinese BDD. Always in the top 3-5 and relatively consistent in performance. Constantly underrated, but also never really looks like the superstar in a team.

Rookie = Chinese Faker. Many regard him as the second GOAT after Faker (at least in the mid lane). Has been good no matter which team he’s on even when elohelled.

DoinB = Chinese Showmaker. Probably weakest comparison…but both are highly respected, vocal, and most importantly, very funny.

Imo, I think they are more iconic already. Bang + Wolf were both cracked, but Guma + Keria just have a magical synergy to them.

Like Bang + Wolf played great, but always seemed to still be overall playing around Faker.

Guma + Keria on the other hand are just so special because of their versatility. Maybe the Draven + Kalista moment in Spring solidified it in my mind, but they are just so innovative.

Maybe it’s because I only followed super closely starting in Season 9 (though I watched a good portion of Season 8 too), but why is Rookie constantly ranked so highly? I’m not sure what I’m missing, but other than the Worlds win with IG, I haven’t seen him much at MSI / Worlds at all in recent years.

He was a god in Season 8 for sure and was still great in Season 9, but IG did lose to NA in MSI and lost to FPX at worlds. Since then, I don’t think I’ve seen much of him.

What am I missing?

It was funny to me how everytime the camera panned to Tom during matches at hype moments, he didn’t even look that surprised / hyped. His face just said, “all according to plan…”

With all due respect, I wish we could refrain from these type of posts. It’s why people hate our fanbase. We won in a wonderful fashion. Let’s celebrate our team rather than disrespecting the opponents. Weibo exceeded expectations this worlds and making finals is an achievement in itself regardless of how “easy” you think their road was.

At the end of the day, they took down BLG, who took down Gen.G, the LCK #1 who beat T1 all year long. Props to them and GG.

I think 40% winrate in Iron is misleading because a lot of reverse-boosters will use Yuumi to de-rank to Iron. Like half of the time I encounter a bot in low elo, it’s a Yuumi.

How has no one said Master Yi?

I just don’t fucking understand him. It feels like when I play him, I have half the HP, half the damage, and half the ult duration of other people.
