Looks like that thin metal backing plate is what’s blocking you from getting the stud out. Make that notch in the backing plate bigger.

Wait so you didn’t fix it, you just ran it as a time bomb? You could just remove the filter and pull the second gasket off. Or swap to a new filter. You’re not going to lose a ton of oil doing that. Wow
