It doesn’t really do that anymore. I had that in my post, but looking over the scepter upgrades, I realized most scepters add new moves or change regular abilities now. Meepo, for example, doesn’t gain a new clone anymore, which was one of the more iconic Scepter upgrades. Instead, he gets an ability that lets all his clones stack on each other.

The ones that do modify the ult often add new features to the ability, like my Taliyah example.

Valve is 5 steps ahead. See, this player base assumed they kept the arcanas locked away so they could release them after TI and get 100% of the profit. In reality, Valve never made Arcanas. Can’t lose money on Dota if you don’t spend any developing it. Next level game dev strategy.

League’s balance is entirely different from Dota’s. If those other champions were in the meta or picked, it really wouldn’t change much about how the game plays. League is much closer to a fighting game than it is to Dota’s draft picking style. A lot of champions overlap in what they accomplish, so there’s always going to a stricter meta pick for a specific role. Not to mention League has a ton of champions now. 165 and counting. League champions aren’t as concerned with filling a niche as they are with providing a new style of play, even if that specific style doesn’t fill a void from a systems perspective.

Don’t get me wrong, I’d love it if every champion was competitive at the highest level, but the way the game is balanced, some champions have a lot more work to do if they are picked than others.

Models look great but something about the environments seem a little bland… I think a more “cartoony” artstyle would have really made this game pop. Age of Sigmar isn’t grimdark like other GW properties.

Steam Deck wins by price. They have the Nintendo magic going with the Deck in that it’s capable enough and unique enough while being cheap to stand out from the competition. No other handheld has the track pads or the wonky design, and the closest competition is hundreds of dollars more. You can get refurbished Decks for like 300 dollars now. That’s insane.
