I came to say the same thing. I understand why the favor the shooter system exists, but I refuse to believe that there isn’t a better method available.

I think most people understand that tanks aren’t meant to just be beefier DPS. Sadly, that’s what Blizzard is giving us. One Mei can control space better than most of the tank roster, and a Widow will shut down an entire sight line just by existing.
By contrast, a Rein will just stare menacingly through his shield for the 0.5 seconds it lasts, until he’s forced to hide behind a wall. And a Winston will exhaust all his cooldowns in order to tickle you a bit before you use one of the myriad movement abilities to escape. Any tank is only as good as the enemy support line allows him to be.
Tanks aren’t allowed to be tanks because, in a 5v5 environment, there just isn’t enough of them to go around. So instead they’re forced to play like a DPS, going for risky plays in an attempt to get a lucky pick.
I may be in the minority, but I actually want LESS content rather than more. I feel like every time I load up Overwatch there’s something new that I need to learn, and as soon as I get used to it they change it up again. It’s honestly starting to get frustrating.
The buffed Sombra and nerfed Lifeweaver…wow
Probably none of them, but they’re interesting for sure.
It’s kind of weird how they’re promoting a set of skins more than they promoted the launch of PvE, though.
I didn’t mind 2CP either. It definitely had its problems, but they were solvable problems.
Flashpoint’s problems are solvable too. Shrink the maps, remove two of the points, increase the time required for capture, and you’re well on your way to a more balanced game mode.
The fast capture is a pretty strong negative in my book. On average you get two fights on a point, which just isn’t enough.
I feel like they need to slow down the capture and eliminate two of the points. Best of 3 would be quicker and more balanced than best of 5.
So you’re saying that the people who don’t like Flashpoint are the ones playing the game for fun, and they hate Flashpoint because it isn’t fun.
That’s the thing: you lose one fight and suddenly the other team has 60% capture. And it’s practically impossible to flip since the attacking team never has an opportunity to regroup. The point almost always goes to whoever wins the first fight. It’s so unbalanced.
What made the ending doubly disappointing was how incredible the rest of the game was. Every character and side plot had a chance for a satisfying conclusion, and your previous choices could have dramatic impacts. I was genuinely floored at how well done everything was…all up to the final 10 minutes.
