Thanks for the deep dive. He’s been one of the guys I’ve started to keep my eye on as well, but I keep getting spooked off by his poor defensive ratings. Does this make him a bigger liability if it further exacerbates the teams biggest weakness?

I think the way Victor’s teammates fail to convert his passes in rhythm 4 out of 5 times bothers me more than anything else. But like everything else, that will come with time.
McDermott is in a trade before the deadline this year. He’s lost his minutes to Cedi. Hopefully to a competitor looking for some shooting.
The Hornets have a better than bad chance of making the playoffs in the East. Only Bos, Phi, Bucks are the only sure things to make the playoffs in the East. That leaves 7 spots for at least the play-in and Cha can fall right into that mix with ‘the abusers’ return (I think that’s how I’ll reference him from now on. Well done!).
The Toronto pick is almost certainly going to convey barring them winning the lottery or jumping into the top 4. There is no consensus top pick unlike next year (Connor Flagg) so they’re better off waiting a year before fully buying into the tank.
Regardless of the combination, players need to be cognizant of where their man is when they are helping or coming off a screen/pick.
I need them to get to 34 wins. For, reasons.
FUN FACT: Last year the Spurs opponents shot just over 39% from 3. The best in the league. This year opponents are shooting nearly 41%.
Some of these people are starting to remind me of Lakers fans. There’s a sense of unearned entitlement and expectation that everything should be done their way and if things aren’t all smiles and rainbows, they’re ready to blow everything up.
This was always going to be a rebuilding year. The team wants to win, but they want to build something sustainable. The Rockets are paying two role players roughly $63M a year for the next 4 years. Is that a sustainable strategy for a small market like the Spurs? Probably not. Building out the skillset of all of their young players is a priority for this team. Not just one.
Pop’s been at this since the gap between Jordan’s titles. Why do so many people with so little knowledge game think they know the game better?
