Has our fanbase gotten as silly as the takes on this PGT? It’s rough out there y"all, we’re literally game 15 of year 1 of Wemby, what’s with the doom…
Why the hell would Pop wave the white flag !!! Come on now… every time Wemby was on the floor with Jones the Spurs came back…
Not y’all still watching for wins, tank is in motion!!
Everyone in here is melting down about Wemby not playing 5 more garbage time minutes, but I’m ticked off about Pop holding Dev back still. Last two games we’ve got our asses handed to us in the 3rd while Dev sits why not bring him back in sooner?
I think the way Victor’s teammates fail to convert his passes in rhythm 4 out of 5 times bothers me more than anything else. But like everything else, that will come with time.
Jokic is an elite passer and even his teammates don’t convert every pass.
I love Wemby.
They’re the defending champs for a reason, folks.
Still, super impressed with Wemby tonight, especially on defense. He’s already getting better.
Anyone watch the postgame? What did they say about Sochan’s injury?
i’m willing to go 0-82 with the sochan experiment. I have no expectations for this season. people’s memories are way too short. For example:
- OKC lost KD in 2016 to the warriors, only really went into true rebuild mode in 2019. It took till this year for them to truly get back into the mainstream conversation, although they’ve been ‘young and exciting’ since the 2019 SGA trade. That’s 7 years since losing the best player they ever drafted in free agency, 4 years since really blowing it up and acquiring their core piece in SGA.
- the Kings have been toiling in mediocrity since 2006. Their best home grown player (Fox) was drafted in 2017. They only put it together in 2022 with the Haliburton-Sabonis trade - 5 year wait.
If anything, the Spurs are trying to ACCELERATE the rebuild - instead of starting the rebuild from drafting wemby 2023 and team building from there, they are focusing on improving and protecting PREVIOUS year’s picks - Sochan and Vassell. On that basis - assuming Vassell is anywhere as good as SGA, the earliest we can really expect a jump is next year’s season.
So I guess I’ll be the one to ask the obvious: why didn’t Wemby play more minutes? We don’t play again until Thursday, so rest should not be an excuse. If anything, it would be valuable for the young kid to get all the minutes he can playing against the finals mvp. I’m genuinely confused.
We were down 20 in the 4th when he woulda normally come back in
Bench made a fake comeback to cut it to 12 but the game was not close
Bro how tf was Wemby negative rating? The fouls. 3 TOs but not that bad. 6 steals, 4 blocks, not bad shooting, how ?
Team rating for a team game.
