  • I know losing isn’t fun, but having a young Top 3 Franchise QB and WR in the league, along with a ton of other talent (both young and/or locked up) and still being able to draft potentially in the top 10 and realistically as high as 7-8 (which also means 38, 70, 102, 134, etc.) due to weird injury circumstances… is a rare opportunity that gives us a massive chance, if we hit on even on even 50% of those picks, to change the financial landscape and ease the burden of Burrow and Chase’s massive contracts.

Yes, that’s a big if of us having to hit those picks, but the fact remains, drafting nearly 20 slots higher for every pick drastically increases your chances on hitting on those picks and picking best available based on our board.

Perfect scenario, would be if we somehow end up in the top 10 where Jayden Daniels slides to and we trade back and add even more significant draft capital, assuming there isn’t a no brainer pick they love.

Just wanted to tip my hat to a Grade A take and recognization. He is a massive reason why we score so much in transition. His assignment on whether to leak or stay home is based on so many factors, sometimes he already knows he’s going to leak because the play or set of the offense, other times he has to make the decision in a split second aka “the strategic” aspect you are referring to.

    Anyways, I like this post a lot … 🎩

  • When Rick thinks it’s time. Simple as that.

I do think we’ll see him start getting doses of minutes as the season progresses (especially if Obi or Nesmith were to get injured at any point), but I don’t think we’ll see him getting 20 minutes a game type minutes until next year. However, again, it all comes down to when Rick thinks he’s ready and it’s the best time. So we shall wait and see.

  • Brown has way more responsibilities and if you are an absolute nerd like me and know the technical side of basketball very well, you see and appreciate him for doing so many things that people have no idea he’s even doing. He’s way more versatile and literally guards 1-4 and is quarterbacking out their and telling guys where to be on defense - even if they are on the opposite side of the floor. Just so many things that go beyond just tangible defense.

However, Nembhard is still incredible, especially in only his 2nd year.

It really it doesn’t matter “who is better” because they both play different roles and guard different positions. But right now, if I had to say - Bruce is mostly definitely the better defensive asset by far, he’s more consistent, more versatile, has more responsibilities and defensive assignments, and is the more impactful defender on a nightly basis.

But again, it doesn’t really matter and is kind of an “apples to oranges” thing. Both are very good.
