Indeed but that’s tough to do since just being relatively active (trading, checking results, etc…), you kind of already have a general idea of who your opponent has.

Not trying to really argue with you. Was just pointing out that while your idea sounds good on paper, it made absolutely no difference to me when trying it in practice.

I tried this and it made things even worse haha. Since you basically have a mental checklist of your players and your opponents players, your brain kind of just passively starts keeping score with whatever available information it has. So instead of checking your app, you switch to checking an imperfect version of the app that your brain generated. It was miserable

This is exactly why teams like the 76ers have never come close to winning shit. Culture is so important and giving up in a season where you can easily make the playoffs does more to fuck your chances in the future than not “protecting an asset.”
