Your logic is the wrong way around, simpler champs should generally trend higher winrate-wise even in soloq even without being OP because they’re easier to execute on. See malphite for example, even when he’s in a balanced state he still tends to hover around 51% winrate.

RitalinInItalyBto League Of Legends@level-up.zone•Fun Fact: Faker is the youngest (*) and the oldest player ever to win WordsEnglish1·2 years agoThe reason you’re seeing “Dreamhack” everywhere is that at the time LANs were still huge and dreamhack specifically was one of the biggest in the world and the name had a lot of clout. It might seem weird looking back now that esports/league have gotten so big but back then having the world finals of your game at DH was pretty big and you’d obviously use that in your marketing as well. This was back when the game was still fairly small and Riot were trying to grow it through esports.

Maybe I’m misremembering but IIRC I didn’t really think it was all that fun when it was meta. You were vs. 2 health/mana bars before first base and even if you chewed through them they’d just base and tp back with dark seal. The answer was basically to either fully all in or just accept that the lane isn’t really gonna go anywhere until lvl 5+
