Thinking we have a better chance with Mullens isn’t that far fetched. Not like there is any big gap between their passing abilities. Mullens has known the playbook and system for 2 years now, its fair to think thats more valuable even if you lose the scramble ability with Dobbs.

I’ve met a few

Thielen - Met him on my way through the skyway after work in like 2018. He was getting done with some meeting in the wells fargo tower and I noticed him and stood around until he started walking away and got a photo. Super nice, could tell he was in a hurry so didn’t talk much.

Nick Easton - Saw him at a bar in downtown St Paul on St Paddys day. He was just kind of standing off to the side with his GF and I noticed him from afar. I walked over to him and said “are you Nick Easton?” He goes “I am Nick Easton.” and I just laughed and said hi and asked if I could take a pic. His GF took it and seemed excited for him that he was recognized lol. I also said “they need to re-sign you man” or something like that and he replied “Yeah…tell Rick that” and I think he ended up signing with the Saints a few months later lol.

People need to remember our season was basically over when Kirk went down. The Dobbs stuff is fun but at the end of the day he’s a high end backup and our chances of actually making any playoff noise was always basically zero without Kirk.

Most commentators are pretty big casuals despite their profession. Just on basic factual stuff too. I remember a couple years ago when Bradbury was still a train wreck Collinsworth said something like “and here’s their terrific center Bradbury, they’re happy they drafted him” it was peak “Bradbury is terrible and a bust” time. A lot of times Collinsworth will say comments/assumptions based on stuff the team did well previous seasons just assuming that still applies this year. And then of course we have Herbstreit who didn’t even know how to pronounce our players names “Darrishhhhhhaw”

Pierce is out for Houston and Cardinals allow the 5th most rushing per game. Pacheco going against Philly feels not great with the Eagles defense, but the way the Chiefs can move the ball it feels like there is always big scoring potential.

It sucked, but I’d much rather get our asses kicked like that instead of a nail biting heartbreaking loss like 09/98.

I’m assuming this is fake, but still I will say Rick turning this diva into the best WR in the league in JJ and also drafting arguably the best LT in football before getting fired was a hell of a going away present.

I’d rather not spend any draft capital on a replacement QB for 9 games. We’re fucked, there’s no QB we’re going to get that is going to come in and play on Kirk’s level. Not like we’re this fully complete team that’s considered a win now super bowl contender anyway, no point in wasting draft capital imo.

It sucks because it basically feels like the rest of the season is cancelled but shit happens and we might as well just ride out Hall and see if he shows anything. If we don’t win more than like 7 games we should be able to get a top 10 pick and can either trade up like the Panthers did last year or even stay put and get McCarthey/Penix/Nix/Ewers. I’m not a huge Kirk fan but we’ve been spoiled with his durability for the last 6 years for sure
