I would look at that, but I bounced off VIM hard, so probably not for me.

the death of Atom
I’m still in mourning.
One tiny stone had me calling an ambulance. I thought my appendix had burst or something. I passed it later that day, and I almost missed it it was so small. Evil little bastards.
Usually cheese. It’s expensive in Korea if you want something other than processed neon orange slices. If I happen to have a block of something nice I paid way too much for on a whim, I’ll definitely plan a few meals around it.
I trust auto save in… Souls games.
That’s… immensely cool. I wish him luck in his dangerous endeavors.
Hmm. Giving it away a bit here. He cringes well before it discharges.
As a hobbyist musician and coder: Csound. Cubic spline curves make particularly interesting noise.
Download GODOT and learn the scripting language and the shader language. Make a game! Or at least neat shader art.
Bonus answer: Csound. Make funky noises with code.
I bought my wife an HP Stream 13 some years back. It came with Windows 8 installed. Which worked just fine until updates bloated it so much it literally took up the entire (paltry) SSD. Windows 10 came out and it offered a free upgrade, which would have been smaller. Unfortunately, every time I tried to do that, it just complained it didn’t have the space to make the switch. I rolled it back to an older Windows 8 and disabled updates to try and keep using it. It complained constantly. I finally deleted the shit out of Windows and installed Lubuntu. It’s worked since then without issue.
I dunno about this variety special he’s in now, but he should have gotten an Emmy for his Muppet Show performance in 1978 anyway. It’s easily one of the best episodes of TV ever!
Sounds like I made the right choice.
I did have the same old printer failure today though. I suspect its endemic to Linux (or WiFi printing in Linux) given a Google search turns up the same issue in a bunch of different Linux forums. Debian based and otherwise. It was quicker to right itself in Mint than it was in Ubuntu anyway.
I just downloaded the default (Cinnamon) Mint. Is there a particular reason to go with the Debian version?
I just switched from Ubuntu, which I’ve been using for almost twenty years, to Mint 21.3 and I’m impressed. Not only does it seem to have solved my printing problems (at least with one day of use so far, but I’ve had zero failures compared to multiple failures per day with Ubuntu), it just seems snappier (or is that snapless?) and smoother overall. Just dumb little things like remembering my sound device settings after reboot and letting me know the printer was out of paper. Ubuntu just seems clunky by comparison now. Hopefully it isn’t just the honeymoon phase.
Razors
Definitely! I used to chase the largest number of blades. Mach 3, then Fusion. And then noticed that it was getting a bit insane paying $30 for a pack of four replacement heads. About ten years ago, I noticed a resurgence in double edged safety razor popularity. Bought a $50 Edwin Jaggar handle (which they replaced with a sturdier version for free when I broke it!), and have been picking up my Dorco blades $10 for 100 since. The shave is just as good, if not better, and getting straight lines is actually much easier. I feel like if more people knew, Gillette would just go out of business.
I’ve learned this the hard way. Got two nice, different Panasonics in a row only to have both fail after a relatively short time period (“relatively short” kinda varies for me since I think things that happened five years ago happened “the other day” these days). After the second failure, I just got the cheapest of the Panasonics, and it’s outlasted both of the previous ones already and does just as good a job.
Told the granddads to choose a name as is Korean tradition.
I used to, but I don’t often find the time these days. Trig for days. Especially given most game input is in (x,y) format from analog sticks or WASD. Gotta turn that into angles! (Not that you need much trig to turn WASD into angles.)
While you cook up some boxed mac and cheese on the stove, cut up some broccoli and onions or whatever appropriate veggies you have lying around, and open a can of tuna (any kind of cooked protein is fine, so fry and shred some chicken breast or ground beef if you’re feeling ambitious.) When that’s done, mix it together in a casserole dish, throw some cheese on top and chuck it in the oven until it turns a bit brown.
I too choose this guy’s dead wife.
