1·2 years agoWhat’s the NFL record for wide receiver screen? Surely we at least tied it last night?
This was a crash course in, "How to kick the other team’s ass on defense and yet still almost lose the game due to never throwing the ball downfield? I mean, could we be any more predictable? How we ever find out if Fields is the guy until we turn him loose?

1·2 years agoWe played a much better team and thanks to some really good breaks and sound defense, we were in the game till the end. That’s an improvement.
Fields played OK, 169 yards passing isn’t going to win a lot of games against a very good team. My sole conclusion from that game is that the jury is still out on JF1. When that dude starts throwing for 250 yards a game 2 out of 3 games, I’ll buy in.
It seems like we throw a 3 yard pass, or a 45 yard bomb. Nothing in the middle.

1·2 years agoYes, the Lions are far better and Fields is rusty. If JF1 plays like ass, his time here is over. He’s had plenty of chances. We need to see SOME SORT of progression. I just don’t see it happening.

1·2 years agoI watched Bills Broncos last night. What a shit show the Bills put on. Interceptions by Allen, drops by receivers, then the train wreck with the field goal at the end. The Bills used to be one of the most exciting teams in the NFL. They look like the Bears now. It was so bad, I felt bad for my ex-gf who was from the Buffalo area.

1·2 years agoAnd look how well that’s working so far. I heard he had 62 yards when he got hurt and it was almost halftime.
That’s the first time I’ve ever seen JF1 win when the game was on the line. And I don’t think it was his fault the Vikings were in the game, despite 4 takeaways.
I don’t care about Eberflus, with some players now, this defense looks awesome. They did well against the run and put serious pressure on Dobbs, who is a hell of a QB if you ask me. He is what Fields could be if Gettsy ever took the training wheels off. Seriously, strong arm, elusive, great runner, big dude. I’m a big fan of Cousins but I think they could roll with Dobbs.
