I think you’re spot on about Gamepass. Right now, official mod support isn’t out yet so being on Steam has not as much modding value, Gamepass is enough to just play a first playthrough.
Haha yeah, I know the Wasteland series, played one of them, don’t remember which one now. Didn’t have time to try Wasteland 3 yet!
Once upon a time… there was real Role Playing Games.
Amelia from the the Plague Tale series. She faced the greatest evil and made the greatest sacrifices. And she didn’t lose herself despite the despair.
The Plague Tale Innocence and its sequel The Plague Tale Requiem got me emotional. You can finish both in less than 20 hours combined.
Otherwise: Jusant, not the same emotional, but feelings are there if you take the time to read everything and immerse yourself. I really enjoyed it.
It really depends on what kind of games you enjoy…
Xbox exclusives in no particular order:
If you tell us about your tastes we can point out the most suited for you.
Remnant 2 for online. Got a bit overshadowed by everything that came out this year but it was highly praised.
Couch coop, no sure. I Takes Two and A Way Out are famous but didn’t try them. Gears 5 also has split-screen.
What about CS?
Football Manager. Or something else that can be played endlessly without really getting tired of it like a Stellaris.
That’s an easy pick but the Adoring Fan in Oblivion is very famous for how annoying he is. And well, it’s true, he is.
Oh yeah there are a ton of other great games for less than 10 bucks. They were just not ranked Overwhelmingly Positive rated, and it would have made an insanely big graphic! I could do a second graph with very positive reviews if people enjoyed this one…
Oh yeah, and I’m sure they’ll eventually manage a good remake/reboot at some point,
Super Mario 64 or Breath of the Wild.
No Man’s Sky and Starfield generate planets.
Imagine it’s something that all games collector posters do and we never knew…
I feel that all the little gems on consoles, especially current gen, are usually well recognized by critics and public since the number of releases is not that high. On PC and mobile, it’s another story. But then you open Pandora’s box!
Like for example Don’t Starve and Don’t Starve Together, you might be able to play them on PS5 but I’m not sure how well you can play them though… Top down survival game, really fun in coop, with a unique design and neat gameplay mechanics.
I’m just happy if they release not too buggy nowadays. Don’t ask too much from underpayed/overworked devs!
Enjoy the grind! Immense satisfaction every step of the way :)
They started the concept phase in May this year at Ubisoft Montreal. So it probably passed the concept phase and started full development with a full team behind it. Since it’s a remake, maybe two years from release, putting it at fall 2025 at best.
That was indeed a great gameplay mechanic! Not super efficient timewise for the players like all over-detailed modular systems in games. But addictive as F… In RTS, it revolves more about balance and speed I think, so the idea didn’t trend. In 4X games on the other hand, there are other games like that. Galactic Civilizations II like SDirickson above said, and other I can’t pinpoint in my head right now. Maybe Stellaris? My memory is numb, someone correct me please.
On another note, I think “create your own” unit/ship/weapon/spell is a great concept. I gives a sense of freedom and achievement amazing. I remember combining the different elements of Magicka to find all the possible spells and the most powerful ones was such a blast!
