Wylie finding new ways to suck ass
Wylie finding new ways to suck ass
I assume the President has some influence over front office personnel, even if it’s not the final say. Who knows, maybe he tried and was overridden, can only speculate based on the outcome.
Howell and the whole team got whomped on all the nationally televised games. Highly doubt he gets recognition
Literally everyone, down to the waterboy. They probably already have a list of presidents in mind, and those people will have lists of GMs they’d want, and people interviewing for GM positions will already have a list of coaches they’d want, etc etc
We’ve already got a lot of “solid” players. If we replace our worst two OL with average OL, and defense regresses to the mean, we’re looking at a fight for the wild card. That’s not asking a lot. If Howell can make the leap or we draft a franchise QB, we’re more like a wildcard lock.
A division or super bowl contender though, I think 3 years minimum. We don’t have a single game changing player. The best teams have at least 3.
We lost to the Giants, twice. Dallas beat the Giants, twice, by a combined score of 89-17
Yeah my TV will be off for this one
Ah makes sense! Always liked him
Man what happened to Morgan Moses
Sam has been tremendously better at identifying blitzers before the snap and getting the ball out quickly. IMO he owns most of the credit for the improvement, the OLine is maybe slightly better but Wylie and the TEs are still revolving doors. Can’t speak to EBs part in it.
I’m not judging our DTs against how DTs have looked against us, because our OLine + Howell has been one of the worst at sacks/pressures in history. I agree he hasn’t jumped out as much as last year, but again I don’t know enough time to really break down his play. All I can say is when a big play is being made, his name is usually in it, and I have noticed him being doubled a lot.
I think he’s played worth the contract, even if the sack numbers are down. But I dunno DT seems like one of those positions the casual fan will be really bad at evaluating unless the guy is always getting sacks.
I do wonder if he was conscious of his personal stats since he was fighting for the contract, and had we paid the man maybe he’d have felt better about taking risks
“Tactical Retreat from Winning”
Honestly I’d like to see what plays PFF called a “pressure”. Their stats there have not passed the eye test. Maybe I’m wrong.
If Howell keeps playing like he did last game, attendance will go up. Good offense is more fun than good defense
We can front load some contracts for those years so they’re hurting less once Sam’s next contract kicks in.
Jon Allen, who seems to be having a down year, has still been better than Chase Young, actually has proven he can be an elite player, gives a shit, and is on a long term contract. This is the kind of player you want to keep.
I don’t understand why the Falcons would be interested in trading for sweat. Are they really in win now mode with Ridder and Heinicke behind center?
Sam’s ass is the pushiest tush in the league. Can’t believe you all think we can find a better one in the draft.
