If he doesn’t, a reasonable gamble that didn’t pay off, probably more due to players who aren’t him because he’s played well so far. But it should lead to some criticism because they assessed their team to be much better than it actually was if they thought he was The Missing Piece

The goal is championships so I’d prefer the one that has them being legit contenders even if you have to do a few tougher years. Just being wild card or divisional round participants where you know they aren’t going to get to the top of the hill is like purgatory

You can replace Shanahan’s name with Mcvay’s, Harbaugh’s, and many others over the last couple years

So are fans who have had criticisms for how the team has been run still “entitled” now that the team continues to be aggressively mid with few bright spots for the future?

But remember you’re not allowed to be critical of the team because otherwise you’re spoiled even though it’s been nowhere close to an actual legit contender for ~7 years and only gets worse

Hope that the apparently yearly injury curse befalls the Niners and all their best players are sidelined

(But actually don’t hope for injury)

Imagine what they’re gonna do after they make their half time adjustments if they were able to make that drive

Are we still not allowed to criticize coaching when the team is consistently sloppy, unprepared, and bad at almost all important times?

Pretty lucky that Geno has been struggling so everyone will harp on him instead of how terrible the team is coached and prepared, not that Geno doesn’t deserve the heat
