They were definitely beating themselves for the first half of the year.
Constant penalties and misplays, dropped INTS, etc. That Falcons game had 2 dropped INTS and we couldn’t stop their running game. Broncos should’ve been the easiest win since we were in FG range and false-started out of it. Even the Steelers game with that terrible backward pass call could’ve given us a better chance to win that one.
Lions, Vikings and Raiders were the games I thought were the worst, and even then we had some decent moments and chances in them (ie. end of Raiders game dropped passes).
Now it feels like the younger guys building chemistry and gaining experience is starting to pay off. Less dropped passes and penalties, better communication and route running. I’d even say MLF has improved as well with his play-calling and knowing his personnel better.
It’s honestly just fun at this point. If we miss the playoffs but look how we’ve looked, our future is bright with great potential. If we make the playoffs, it’s great experience and any win is just a bonus. We’re in a way better spot than a ton of other NFL teams.
Thought I’d say that I’m a Packers fan that hates how much I love the Vikings aesthetic. The horn, the drum before the game, the colors and logo. It’s actually one of my favorites. If I was a fan of a team outside the division, I’d probably cheer for them because of that alone.
