  • If we finish around .500, I’m OK with what we gave up for Yak, but it’s the timing and not choosing the “blow it up route” that deadline. Unlike a lot of years, there was reason to seriously consider it, even from a FO that historically has not done that and that’s what most people take issue with.

Which is kind of funny because the flip side of it is you could argue we should have traded demar way earlier as it was obvious his weakness in the playoffs were killing us…but he’s treated as some hero that Masai shot and buried.

Regarding the draft, maybe it won’t be deep but stuff like this is said about so many drafts and it ends up being wrong.

  • The odds of winning without tanking or signing a star is miniscule

    Last title winners:

Denver - didn’t tank for Jokic

Golden State - didn’t tank for Steph

Bucks - didn’t tank for Giannis

Lakers - didn’t tank for Lebron (but does have FA appeal)

Raptors - didn’t tank for Kawhi

    Warriors

    Warriors

Cavs - tanked for lebron…13 years prior to this and after he decided to come back.

    Warriors

Spurs - didn’t tank for kawhi…did do a quick tank for Timmy but Kawhi was FMVP for this title, and still needed Parker and Manu and the rest.

Miami - tanked for D Wade but won because of FA appeal AND friendships

    Miami

Dallas - didn’t tank for Dirk

Lakers - didn’t tank for Kobe

    Lakers

    Celtics - didn’t tank

So 3 of these past title winners won with of FA appeal (LA, Mia x 2) and the rest did not tank, I’d give you 1 if you count that spurs title. So 4 out of the last 16 title winners match your description 😂 God forbid you check stuff before calling other people idiots lol

OKC didn’t tank for their best player, Presti however is next level exec, so they continue rolling with high picks, and he obv has ownership backing to do it.

Wake me up when Minny wins something.
