  • It’s a timing and comfort issue.

Love and his WRs need to get used to where a guys speed and manner of running a route is going to put him on the field at a given time.

It’s getting better, but it requires time and practice to get into a cadence, with each guy, to perfect.

We are witnessing live practice reps during games.

We aren’t used to it bc in most of the NFL, QBs go to their “guys” they are already synced up with. It’s why AR always had a short leash with new guys.

    But it’s getting better weekly.

  • Let’s not forget that Rodgers had a trio of vetted pass catchers coming off a Superbowl contender the prior year: Driver/G. Jennings/J. Jones… and we drafted Jordy.

Right now we have 4 Jordy Nelsons circa 2008… Talented but unproven.

I think Love has carried the burden of young pass catchers more than the WR themselves have, given the Monday morning qb’ing.

Sure, he’s missed some throws, but he’s had a boatload hit hands and numbers to be dropped or picked.

What I will say is this: Jordan seems like he is unrattled in very high stress situational fb. He seems to be getting better almost every week over the last month.

If we can consistently see these pass catchers play to the median, and Love gets his deep ball timing down…

    Oh boy.

Been around since the 80s. I’m not a whipsaw fan who’s emotions change from drive to drive.

My change of heart stems from watching the body language of the team and coaching along with the final product on the field.

This team doesn’t look like they understand what they are doing, as evidenced by multitudes of analysts and reviews showing that players are in the wrong spot on the field.

Failed plays just look like guys working 9-5 in an office, with nothing to look forward to but the weekend and no passion or fire. It’s uninspiring football, and I don’t think MLF is capable or sufficiently equipped to pull a young team with almost no vet experience out of this tailspin.

And this isn’t even speaking to the fact that this part of our schedule to was the EASY part of our schedule this season.

So while you think I’m talking out my ass, instead I’ll invite you to name a few of the things that are improved on this team from week 1 through now.

Name as many as you like or can, I’m open to being wrong.

The problem is… I cannot for the life of me see or think of a single thing that has gotten better on this team, or even stayed “status quo”. To me, all phases of our football operation have gotten worse week by week, with no catalyst (like an injury returning soon) that can break stride and see it get better thereafter.

Wait, I found one- out kicking game. Both our new punter and Kicker appear better, not ST mind you, but the 2 players. Outside that, all worse than where we sat 2 months ago.

  • I had us a 6 win team, but showing growth and “gelling” more as the season went on, with Love showing the ability to become our next 6+ year QB (Think Dak like, not Rodgers like).

I was a MLF backer, and truly thought Rodgers was hindering the playcalling style that Matt could mold Love within.

I didn’t anticipate the depth of how inept the coaching was. I really thought MLF was a much better coach and motivator than he is.

I was ok with the losing. Expected it. But this? This isn’t building towards anything.

This is the collapse of a franchise overnight from a competitive standpoint. This team literally does nothing well, and does it less well by the week.
