I’m not as qualified as you, but have been working on my own cars my entire adult life. I have the BAFX dongle and torque, and also the bluedriver. For what it’s worth, I completely agree with everything you said about those.

I have the BAFX one, and it is ok, but then I bought the blue driver and it gives me so much more. It gives me all sorts of vehicle specific codes that the other one didn’t give me. I have the app, and I think I had to sign up for it, but I’m not paying any subscription. And I honestly don’t even remember if I had to sign up for the app or just download it.
I’m one of those people. I think we forget where we came from sometimes. To go from a historically bad defense to a top 10 in any way is not horrible. But also if we’re ranking defenses in reality, no way are we top 10. But my point is that there’s still hope. We can, and must do better, but there’s hope in my mind. And we’re definitely not going to fire him mid season with our record, so I’m glad to hang on to that hope. But I’m also not blind to the fact that we need to improve.
Get the hell on here man!
We absolutely do. And I’m sure, or at least hoping, that whoever posted that is being a little cheeky like when we talk about winning the next 10 super bowls. Obviously that’s not really going to happen. I don’t see us winning more than 6 or 7 in a row.
As fans we tend to think all or nothing on everything. But man, take his draft position out of the equation, and he’s been far from a bum. He’s in a weird spot, where his potential to be amazing means we should have patience with him. But the fact that we’re a winning team means we’re not going to trot him out there just to trot him out there. But he’s getting some reps, and producing positive results, even if it’s not always the big splashy plays we want. But there’s a chance that without his downfield block yesterday, we don’t win that game.
We aren’t used to being a good team. Not only that, but we’re still going to have growing pains. But the ghost of SOL still haunts us, and there’s a sense of PTSD every time something bad happens. Let’s not be too hard on ourselves for feeling things in a situation we’re not prepared for. But you are exactly right, it’s the NFL and anyone can win on any given Sunday. We got got, but the good teams bounce back. I don’t see MCDC letting us not bounce back.
Doesn’t sound like he has a dislike of the city according to this article https://www.freep.com/story/sports/nfl/lions/2021/02/01/detroit-lions-ndamukong-suh-jared-goff-matthew-stafford-trade-rams-buccaneers/4341371001/
This makes me feel slightly better.
