Coaching

In the big picture, this is probably about right. Jets and Giants are dog water. Chiefs and Dolphins are elite. The inexperienced coaching cost us. Now we have four games against teams clustered in our range (Vikings, Chargers, Colts, Broncos). I think those are the games that will determine whether AP stays or goes.

Raiders didn’t commit a penalty. Raiders didn’t turn the ball over. This came down to KC being better and making adjustments. The coaching chasm was on full display. Ultimately, the question for Mark Davis is going to be, do you think a players coach that is limited schematically like AP can elevate the team, or do you need someone with a system? I am still no closer to have a feeling on this. 2-2 is to be expected…Jets and Giants stink, Dolphins and Chiefs are elite. Can we beat teams more around our level in Minny, the Chargers, Indy and Denver (yes…Denver). Me thinks anything less than 3-2 in these last five games and we’re hiring someone like Frank Smith. Or Harbaugh.

He had a good first game. He was cheeks vs KC. The guy is a career backup. He got a bag and McDoofus was never gonna gig him the starters gig. God I’m so glad that moron is gone, I just can’t say that enough.

Said this when he was drafted. Definition of JAG at Bama…benefiting solely from the work of superior players. We’ve got to stop drafting the least productive players at these big schools. The Conley’s, Arnette’s, Mullen, Muse, and now Young types. Get guys who were the guy, even from less pedigree schools.

Literally damaged goods. Bad back. No way we pay that $$$. It’s actually quite the sea change that our most pressing issue isn’t defense.

I hope our identity isn’t one of “if only”. Like if only Vando stayed healthy or if only Bron didn’t get hurt keeping the team afloat early on. You can’t ever really assess a LeBron team until after around MLK Day. That’s when certain trades become realistic and there’s a general idea of who is staying and who isn’t. This isn’t the finished product though…believe that.

If we finally start drafting well, that isn’t supposed to matter as much 🤷🏿‍♂️

Still need a QB. And an oline. We’re not a piece or two away from being elite. But the NFL is set up to where you can get in the dance despite that because of schedule and the amount of mediocrity in the middle.

I agree, simply because I said this after we drafted him. Hes a low ceiling/high floor player. Already 25 years old, not going to magically acquire new found mobility but smart enough to give you a chance in a pinch. Take away the Giants game, which was set up by multiple turnovers…he’s scored 17, 16, and 13 points in his three starts. 15.3 ppg has been in line with who we are. I think he can be solid…he’s never going to be elite

It was always about the fact that 49ers fans were douchebags of the highest order. I took a certain pride in watching them lose when it counted. Also, doesn’t help that Montana took a title and about $3.5 million in endorsements (in early 1989 $$$) away from my uncle, Ickey Woods.

Low risk signing…if he’s a knucklehead, he’s gone. If he shows anything like he did last year, he might be the best corner on the team.
