So, when it comes to talking around Mac… Now that people are finally coming to the realization that Jones is just not very good. It seems many in this sub and Boston media say:

" Well Bill Belichick drafted Mac Jones!"

My question for the people that say this is… OK, well what QB should he have taken?

People seem to be oblivious to the fact that getting A franchise quarterback is hard… Many of you have no clue who the fuck Tommy Hodson is, but there have been many times when we had shit QB play pre Drew Bledsoe.

Some franchises will go decades with out ever finding a good QB. (Cleveland Browns).

This fan base needs some patience… People want to get rid of the greatest coach of all time because we have had a downturn in QB play. Get a fucking clue.

The problem is all the players you listed were drafted 10+ years ago. Over the last 10 years, they haven’t been able to draft offensive players to save their lives. BB will always be the GOAT coach in my mind, but when you stop succeeding and let things get as dysfunctional as they are this year, something needs to change.

To be fair, they haven’t tried all that hard, either. In the last decade, Belichick has spent exactly six picks in the first three rounds (out of 33 total) on offensive skill players: 2 RBs (Michel and Harris), 2 WRs (Harry and Thornton), and 2 TEs (Asiasi and Keene). He’s spent 3 on QBs and 5 on OL.
