It’s so wild to me that many Falcons fans wanted Willis in the black and red during that draft year. Fast-forward to our present day, he won’t even be starting this Sunday. On the other hand, Ridder, a player from HIS draft class is.

I think these arm-chair GMs just need to sit it out when it comes to drafting a QB. Oh, the irony. 😂

Is this thread/sub full of Willis meat riders and will ALWAYS hate Ridder no matter what?? This post is engaging and fun, gets people talking and putting into perspective how different the draft is to actually football playing. This sub outside of posting just news is terrible. You say ANYTHING positive about Ridder or how we’re playing you’ll get a downvote.

You couldn’t have said it better.

I’m just tired of armchair GMs. They wanted Watson, then Willis, then Lamar Jackson, and now they’re drooling over Fields on Twitter because a “pundit” on TV said that he’s a good fit for Atlanta.

I’m just saying we should let Terry and Arthur Smith cook. They understand the game better than we do; otherwise, we wouldn’t be on Reddit discussing this lol

Exactly! But I’ve seen some comments about how AS doesn’t REALLY know anything about football because he’s a billionaire and bought this job lol like what!? I can’t even with some of these “fans”

You can say “they understand the game better then we do!” about every failure coach ever. Does Hue Jackson know more then us? So what?

People have a right to be critical about the teams decisions. Yes, they’re 4-3. That doesn’t give some free pass for critiques. They are winning in spite of some putrid Ridder performances (which has also lost them very winnable games)

Bunch of ppl in this sub wanted him… knew he would be a bust cause its fucking liberty. He was just the best athlete in every single game they played. He is not an NFL qb.

Then this year ppl in this sub said Anthony Richardson was the same as malik Willis lmaooooo. Dont quit your day jobs.

Honestly i would have taken howell over ridder in that draft. Only QB in that draft that i felt had a chance. Still think he has the most upside…

People here are still clamoring for Justin Fields. A QB who has less 300-yard games than Ridder, one of the losingest QB’s in history who’s metrics can’t even compare to Ridder in his rookie season last year.

But somehow people think if he comes to the Falcons he’s going to magically become an all-pro.
