Hello all. Rough year, only getting one gift this year and, as always, I want a game. I’ve been on the fence about BG3 for a while for my choice. I’m playing through DOS 2 again and man is it good. If I’m enjoying it DOS 2, will BG3 be the right choice?
If it isn’t BG3, I have no idea what to get.
Bg3 is good. I got around 130hr from one play through. Could easily get a few more runs out of it. If you want to get frugal and the most games for the buck. If your on pc I assume. Xbox game pass is like 10 dollars a month. So the price of bg3 you could get a bunch of games for about 6 months.
Bg3 is absolutely worth it if you are really set on it. Game pass is just a really good deal too.
If you seek a true RPG from bottom to top, you will not make a bad decision to buy a BG3.
Game is a gem.
If you can only get one game in the past five years, get BG3
Elden Ring, Celeste, Pizza Tower, Ghosts of Tsushima, Mario Odyssey, Mario Wonder, Pikmin 4, Animal Crossing, R2D2, Hades, BOTW, Sea of Stars, Hi-fi Rush, Metroid Dread, Super Smash Bros Ultimate, Spiderman 2, and TOTK would like to talk to you.
Baldur’s Gate 3 is ALWAYS the right choice
Yep. I haven’t even played it yet. Have watched a good bit of gameplay.
I think it’s the right call.
Armored Core 6 is awesome. It definitely got screwed by not getting a GOTY nomination.
You already know the answer
DOS2 sucks in comparison to Baldur’s Gate 3. But keep in mind there were plenty of other good games that came out this year so it depends on what you’re after. BG3 definitely isn’t the ONLY choice.
You guys getting gifts??!
BG3 is quite literally the best game I’ve ever played and will last you hundreds of hours and that’s just the first playthrough.
Its the kind of game that becomes all consuming once you start to play. Time vanishes before your eyes, loved ones begin to worry if you’ve developed a problem they need to have an intervention about.
So to answer your question… Yeah it’s alright I guess =)
Dude just pirate the games, it’s ok I won’t tell Santa. Merry Christmas. You’ll pay them back when you got money.
Do you play games primarily to let yourself be carried by a story and beautiful cut scenes, or for an engaging, stimulating gameplay loop? If the answer is the latter do not get BG3. You’ll realize too late that the game is too slow, the combat boring, and you won’t be able to get your Steam refund.
Nah, I ain’t letting you get one gift. DM me a gift idea. Dead serious. And don’t worry about it. I’m a disabled veteran. I didn’t earn this money.
