He won’t get the shine because of Hali but I think he could end up being as good as anyone we had post Mark Jackson till Hali

I don’t know man, I think he’s good, but I’d still take prime George Hill over him. That said, I do think he’d start on a lot of NBA teams right now.

idk I think he’d start on a few but the PG position is a heavy saturated position with a lot of talent around the league.

It’s an interesting thought excersise. In my opinion (just an opinion!) I’d say he’d start on 7 teams, and maybe 3 more

        East

        Central

        Bucks - no, Dame

        Bulls - yes

        Pistons - no, Cade

        Cavs - no, Garland

        Pacers - no, Hali

        Atlantic

        Celtics - no, Jrue

        Knicks - no, Brunson

        Raps - maybe, Schroeder

        Nets - yes

        Philly - no, Harden/Maxey

        Southeast

        Hornets - no, Melo

        Heat - yes

        Magic - yes

        Hawks - no, Trae

        Wiz - no, tyus Jones

        West

        Northwest

        Nuggets - no, Murray

        Thunder - no, SGA/Giddey

        Blazers - no, scoot

        Jazz - yes

        Twolves - maybe, Conley

        Pacific

        Kings - no, fox

        Clippers - no, Westbrook

Lakers - yes (assuming we don’t list Lebron as their pg, but better than DLO)

        Suns - maybe

        Warriors - no, Steph

        Southwest

        Mavs - no, Luka/Kyrie

        Pelicans - no, McCullom

I think he’s a good enough combo guard and defender that you should consider 1-3. Not saying he would play the 3, but if someone has a guard who can play down a position, he could play the 1 or 2.

Either way, he’d start on multiple other NBA teams already. There’s a case that he should start over Benn right now. I’m not saying that case should be made or that it’s correct, but there’s an argument to be made for that based solely on his ability to be a secondary playmaker and perimeter defender.

I had a similar thought just thinking about how Myles Turner is probably playing with the 3 best point guards he’s ever had in terms of setting him up all at the same time.

I think all 3 are better distributors than George Hill, but while I don’t like teague, he was quite good and averaged 8 assists per game

That’s more of a damnation of our past guards than a compliment to him.

Tinsley Workman Best Hill Jackson Fleming Teague Collison Augustin Stuckey Brogdon

There are some of the many names of guards we have had. It’s not a surprise when all you draft are good guards and never hit often on great ones.
