Like why choose to smurf and play in gold/silver then complain about your team not performing to your expectations?

That’s why I’ve never liked watching TF Blade. How can you be a Challenger level player and then cry when you play in Silver elo with Silver teammates who are obviously not playing at a Challenger level lol
They unconsciously have X expectations from their teammates. In their elo, their teammates do that.
In low elo they don’t. So if you are smurfing as jungler lets say and you invade but your low elo toplaner is sleeping then yes you would be mad. You objectively did the correct play and it didn’t work because your teammate is shit.
That’s how it kinda boils down to. Obviously you shouldn’t expect anything but you do cuz that’s how you learned to play and the game and thus are in the elo you are.
Smurfing is a skill. You adapt to the lower skill enviroment and make the decisions that are good for that elo. In your own elo the same decisions wouldn’t work. And vise versa.
Maybe they should just play on their main instead of seeking an ego boost and crying when it slaps them in the face lmao. I have no sympathy for smurfs.
Smurfing is a symptom, not the problem. Fix ranked before complaining about what individual players do and dont do.
Right? They should be happy they’re losing, that means they can spend more time in low elo lmao
I think the biggest thing that so many people fail to realize is that RARELY will anyone above master Smurf. High elo isn’t RIDDLED with people trying to smash lower players. It’s usually people under emerald or diamond making accounts to “Smurf” against silver/gold.
So often it’s also INCREDIBLY hard stuck 5-6 season players that think they should be able to stomp any other rank below theirs and they find themselves frustrated when the team doesn’t just “play for them.”
I know you’ve all seen the “just don’t die I’ll carry,” messages or the classic “just shield me and we win.” It’s quite a bit easier to “carry” if youre receiving all the resources from everyone and these players think they’re entitled to it.
It’s a lot harder to stomp silver gold or plat players as a plat player on a gold account than it is as a grandmaster on a gold account. Most of my friends and I play high elo and none of us have ever really though to make another account to Smurf on silver.
Also, a quick reminder that there are so many false negatives when it comes to smurfing. People that have a good 4-5 game win streak and some good games will all-chat that they’re smurfing or that they’re on a friend’s account boosting. It’s never that. Guaranteed there are more people talking about Smurfs than there are people playing on Smurfs.
