no more “we’re gonna evaluate,” no more “i like the guys in the building,” it all needs to be over today. coaches have been justifiably fired for less.

i appreciate ron for what he did when he first got here, but that well has dried up and his grace period ended when snyder sold the team.

    We’ve seen what throwing that grenade in the locker room does to a team. As well, 100% of every coordinator in the league takes notice.

      Agreed 100%. But it always (25+ years) seems like we’re in “rebuilding” mode. Canning Snyder was step one. But there are a lot more steps to go.

    Imagine a guy starting a new job where he’s running one of two teams, and when his team faces even basic challenges they fail to deliver. Even after several months of working with them, his team continues to miss deadlines, deliver bad products, cost the company money, and generally just fail.

    I can’t believe how many people are in here believing that guy should get promoted. 😂

    If the HC, OC or DC lose the locker room in a established team then yes. This is a new ownership team, FO on down will be changed at the end of the year, the coaches, the players and the current FO people know it. Sucks to wait and wallow in the misery of continued failure but there is no other choice.

    People… stop with the fucking fire RR bullshit. What is it going to do? At most it will help us win games which reduced our draft picks… at the worst or best it helps us retain high draft picks. Yeah I can see JDR going… but it won’t help we don’t have a staffer who can call the D. Just stop with the bullshit. We have a team that can’t do it… best thing to do is grab a lot of talent in the draft. How do you do that? Get a high draft pick! We have multiple in the early rounds. Get RR out the building… hopefully Josh hires a quality Gm who can evaluate talent better than we have been. Why would Josh want to put his stamp on this shit season? It’s already shit… just let it finish. Then remove all traces of Snyder and the next season will have the new owners fingerprints on it. Firing your coach does nothing for you except make you feel better in the short term… does nothing for the long term.

    We lack talent… stop trying to maintain these 7-10 8-9 mediocre shit seasons. Hope the team remains competitive with a chance to win at the end because that means our young talent is getting better. RR gives us the best chance at having high draft picks. Let him finish… then Josh can make moves. Thank you and good bye! If we had a team like Detroit that went in a run last year to end the season… you would have hope the next year could be better. Do you think this team with its pieces will be better next year without changes? Be real with yourself. The giants are so f’n bad we had a chance to win the game after 5 turnovers. We lost to those guys because their D creates turnovers.

    I think it would make more sense to replace Jason Wright and GM staff now so we can have a solid plan going into the off season. I don’t see them finding a DC off the streets or in house that will make a major impact.

    There’s just no point. It creates needless drama and further locker room chaos. EB can’t be reasonably evaluated as a HC in six games, working with the staff that already brought us to this bad point. It makes Harris look rash, too.

    I figure it’s not happening. There’s no real benefit to cleaning house before January, so that’s probably when we’ll do it.

    Can you give a reason as to how the team would benefit from a new DC and HC? This season is OVER. At best, EB or someone else at HC will get us a couple more wins, drop our draft position, and we will still miss the playoffs. Personally, I feel that their is no circumstance at this juncture of the season that justifies dismissing Ron Rivera before the season comes to a conclusion.

    If we lose on Thanksgiving him or JDR could be gone… maybe both but i think something COULD happen then. But also why change now? May as well just “not tank on purpose” and get the highest pick possible

    Winning the next 2-3 of the 4 games would do nothing but fuck our draft placement up at this point.
