There’s this strange part of me that doesn’t mind this shot. It’s not GOOD by ANY stretch but I think he had an idea going up for it.

It’s a 2 for 1. You miss, you get another opportunity. You don’t? Up by 3 full pressure on a 3-9 team.
-
With Porzingis there he probably thought he’d be able to grab the board with a chance of &1 or FT’s.
Should he have passed? Yes. Is this REALLY what lost us the game? No. One play never loses you the game.

He’s actually selfish as fuck. His decision making is also the slowest on the team. Brads too smart to not trade him the next chance we get.
I’m so fkn sick of him. I have a cousin who I got into basketball like 2-3 years ago and he always has wondered my despair for JB. Stuff like this is exactly why. He is so one dimensional and can only impact the game when he has the ball in his hands. It is so frustrating too because of the money he makes. You should NEVER be a liability making 60 million a year yet he does it multiple times a season including the playoffs
Our team actually sucks when there’s a two for one opportunity. It’s not just Jaylen, I’ve seen Jayson and others force a bad shot that we miss just to get a shot off before 30 seconds
If it makes anyone feel better, there is an extremely high chance he gets traded within the next two years. Also, to anyone saying he isn’t tradable on the new contract, literally everyone is, history has proven that.
As a Spurs fan, I can sympathize with your players inexplicably not passing to the 7’3 guy near the rim.
The coach likes math. Math tells you that even if he misses this shot, the Celtics still get a few seconds’ worth of another possession to win the game at the end. Unless it’s a *horrible* shot, going for a 2–for-1 makes sense regardless of what quarter it is.
You’re not mad because of the shot selection. You’re mad because three things in a row didn’t go our way: 1) Jaylen missing, 2) Miles Bridges hitting, and 3) Tatum missing that 3rd FT (the latter possession was only possible because of the quick shot by Jaylen). It’s ok, it’s a long regular season and you’re supposed to lose a few like this.
A black hole on offense and I do not disagree with that role, just fucking think better

I’m convinced there’s no ring until he’s off the team. He’s essentially redundant next to JT, everything he does JT does better and they end up just taking turns at doing the same thing, and the other is just left to stand around.
It’s frustrating because clearly Brad had an idea of what he wants the team to be, but we can’t move him until next season and I don’t see how we get any depth with only Payton having a trade-able contract.
I’d love to be proven wrong but right now it’s not great with JB. Also don’t know if we even win then if Joe is still the coach
Relax, everyone. We all have to relax and talk about 7 less.
We’re going to trade him.
Don’t you worry. Just relax.
We are in the hands of a top-notch GM.
You think he is gonna let this go on forever? He’s watching the games too.
We had to give 7 the contract to maintain credibility with the players.
We can win the title with this guy on the team, so we have to chill and let it play out.
He’s going to keep doing stuff like this. I once thought it was a phase and he was feeling out his offensive game to figure out what he can do …
… in his 2nd and 3rd year …
so we all just gotta chill about 7 until we trade him, which we will.
He can’t seem to play within the flow of the game. Although he’s starting to improve his court awareness, he has still mostly been a ball stopper. In this game, it seems he was more concerned about getting his touches after getting into foul trouble limited his playing time. He saw Tatum was hooping and decided to go back to the Brad era your turn and my turn, iso hero ball.
I love JB as a 4th or 5th option. He’s paid way too much for that though. By EPM numbers for this season he’s our 4th best player.
