There is no statistic argument against Novak. Tbf he has even drastically improved his weak point which was the net game which was mediocre at best for 90% of his career. I’ve seen him doing things at the net over the course of the last 2 years I had never seen in his game.

But personally I still feel that RF is the greatest player I’ve ever seen. That’s all. There isn’t any argument for it. I’m not talking about achievements, but just raw feeling and tennis skills assessment. On one day, at peak level, I’d pick RF over Djokovic any day, especially on decently fast paced courts where he was way tougher to beat.

I totally admit that this goes against all statistics and logic. I won’t argue RF is the GOAT. But he is my GPOAT.

It will be official when Nadal retires. Theoretically Nadal can win all 4 Grand Slams next year, 5 Masters, ATP Finals and Olympic Gold.

genuinely asking, would weaker competition be a valid argument? seems like even in Federer and Nadal’s heyday, there are still other players that are winning alongside them. doesn’t seem to be the case with Djokovic. the past 4-5 years, there haven’t been anyone that can challenge him?

I’d say Federer’s 6 ATP finals, Olympic silver, and weeks at number 1 gives him the edge over Nadal’s two slams, Olympic gold and 8 masters tbh.

There’s none, genuinely. Unless other bring the same kind of feelings that I did when Novak was the one trailing in stats in 2015. No need to make these pointless posts anymore. Enjoy the tennis.

    Simple answer: There is none.

Other answer: Go see posts by the mental gymnastic masters such as WhitneyNadal, serioussinner, etc. on this sub.

I think the main argument I see everywhere is “I don’t like him”.

Source: I don’t like him. But I do think it’s pretty obvious to everyone that he is the greatest of all time… SO FAR.

For me its his behaviour, how he handles situations, his medical timeouts, his tactics, his sneaky ways. I respect all his achievements and everything but for me its Rafa and Roger because they are truly a sportsmen for me from behaviour to style or personality.

This is the year that it became indisputable. No arguments left unless Rafa pulls off a miracle next year.
